18. We are Sustained by Influx From God, Directly and Indirectly

The previous chapter talked about three realms in the created world, where each realm in turn contains substances which respectively receive love, receive wisdom, and receive actions. We call these the spiritual, mental and physical realms. The three substances are exactly the loves for those three things (love, wisdom and actions), and, moreover, are in some kind of realm or space wherein they are able to interact with others of the same kind but not of different kinds. We now discuss the way that the three realms operate together, and we ascertain the relations between the different spaces.
