32.5 Biology32.5.1 You seem to be bringing back life as a something non-physical. Surely science has long ago shown that living organisms are entirely explainable by their physical constituents! It is true that theistic science does not ascribe all biological activities to the operation of physical laws in a causally-closed physical universe because it treats living creatures as under the influence of mental or spiritual influx from distinct discrete degrees. This treatment, however, does not introduce life as some new factor about which we know nothing. It introduces only the possible affects of mental activity, about which we already know quite a lot. We are certainly capable of investigating this in more detail in the future.
